Server log files

When a page is requested, the host processes technically necessary access data (IP address, time, requested address, browser identifier). Purpose: delivering and securing the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Availability alerts and newsletter

If you sign up for alerts about free hut places, the following is stored: e-mail address, alert type, the hut or route concerned, the requested date, language, plus the time and IP address of your consent (as proof). Sign-up uses double opt-in — it only takes effect after you confirm via a link in the first e-mail. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every e-mail; the data is then deleted.

Audience measurement

For our own statistics we store only anonymous totals (e.g. "page X had 20 views today") — no cookies, no IP address, no identifier that leads back to a person. Attribution to an individual visitor is therefore not possible. Legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Microsoft Clarity

To improve usability the site uses Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session replays). This may set cookies and transfer data to Microsoft. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can switch measurement off permanently by opening any page once with ?notrack=1 appended.

Embedded third-party services

Loading a page fetches content from the following providers, which necessarily learn your IP address:

Transfers outside the EU

Some of the providers listed process data outside the EU, in particular in the USA. This is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

Alert subscription data: until consent is withdrawn. Anonymous statistical totals: indefinitely, as they are not personal data. Server logs: per the host's retention periods.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the e-mail address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the competent one for the controller is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz) — or with the authority where you live.
