Die Gollinghütte bietet sich für Naturliebhaber bestens als Tagesausflugsziel und Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in den Schladminger Tauern an. Bezahlen können Sie auf der Hütte in Bar oder mit Karte. Ausgangspunkt: ist der Parkplatz Riesachfälle in Rohrmoos-Untertal, dieser ist auch mit dem Wanderbus erreichbar. Von hier aus ist es eine leichte Wanderung durch das Steinriesental über einen Forstweg und die letzte halbe Stunde über einen leichten Wandersteig bis zur Gollinghütte. Gehzeit: 2 Stunden, Höhenmeter: 580 m
