Die Wanderung, die für Familien zugänglich ist, beginnt zwischen den Lärchen, entlang einer Bisse. Nach einer Stunde Fußmarsch geht es weiter auf großen Steinplatten und schließlich im Chaltwassertälli die Moräne hinauf. Am Pass erscheint ein kleiner Bergsee, hinter dem die Hütte in einer typisch alpinen Landschaft steht.
