About the route

The quiet granite realm of Verwall with turquoise alpine lakes, away from the crowds around the Arlberg. The crossing of the Wannenjöchle pass connects two classic huts of the Verwall Round — a compressed weekend version of the full week-long circuit. The route passes through Konstanzer Hütte and Neue Heilbronner Hütte and works perfectly as an accessible weekend trek in the Verwall area. Total distance 39 km with approximately 1000 m of elevation gain; 2 days with 2 nights in alpine huts. Best season is July to September.
