Die Bertahütte liegt auf 1527m und ist eine Alpenvereins-Hütte der Kategorie I,der Sektion Villach. Die Hütte liegt idyllisch unter den steil abfallenden Nordwänden des 2143m hohen Mittagskogels. Sowohl Weitwanderer, wie auch Bergurlauber schätzen die Örtlichkeit der Hütte, die Aussicht auf den Mittagskogel, die Karawanken, das Villacher Becken und den Weitblick ins Gail- und Drautal.
