Die Klagenfurter Hütte ist eines der schönsten Ausflugsziele für Bergsteiger und Wanderer in den Karawanken. Die Hütte ist von zahlreichen Gipfeln umgeben und dient daher als Ausgangspunkt für deren Ersteigung. Sie liegt in malerischer Lage auf der Matschacher Alm in 1.664 m Höhe.
