Die Berghütte ist im Besitz von Pro Natura, und der SAC, Sektion La Gruyère, bewartet sie. Sie liegt im Naturschutzgebiet. Vanil Noir, und zwar auf der Westseite des höchsten Berggipfels der Freiburger Voralpen, dem Vanil Noir. Die Hütte ist ein ideales Wander- und Ausflugsziel für Familien.
